Swarm FC and Southern Soccer Academy Swarm Announce Appointment of New Technical Director Andy Fensome

Marietta, GA – [September 23rd 2025] – Swarm FC and Southern Soccer Academy Swarm are excited to announce the appointment of Andy Fensome as the new Technical Director.

An experienced former professional footballer and accomplished coach, Fensome brings over 22 years of coaching expertise spanning senior first teams, reserve squads, U21s, and youth professionals. His career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, strong organizational and communication skills ,a winning mentality with a player-focused approach that ensures both individual growth and team success.Andy leaves Preston North End FC in the English Championship where he served as the Head coach for the U18 team immediately to join Swarm and Southern Soccer Academy Swarm.

Fensome has consistently delivered results throughout his coaching journey, including league championships and two National Cup victories within the past three years. He has also been responsible for implementing and delivering daily coaching curriculums that align with Professional club philosophies, meeting both team and individual needs at every level.

In his new role, Fensome will work in Swarms growing network of clubs and Southern Soccer Academies USL and MLS NEXT platforms to identify, develop, and advance talent throughout Swarm FC and SSA Swarm’s players pathway. His leadership will be central to ensuring that players are supported from youth development phases all the way to the senior professional level.
